Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines because the [SRU] Sim Racing Unleashed Craftsman Truck Series Season 12 is officially underway! The first race of the season roared to life at the iconic Daytona International Speedway oval, and it was a spectacular start to what promises to be an unforgettable journey.

In a race characterized by breathtaking action, strategy, and sheer determination, it was the defending Truck Series champion, Paul Witt, who emerged victorious, proving that he's as formidable as ever. Witt showcased his prowess by leading an impressive 11 laps and securing the top spot on the podium.

Carnage on the track wasn't absent in the season opener

  1. Paul Witt (#29) - Hailing from Michigan, Witt stormed to victory with an average lap time of 1:06.024, making a statement for the rest of the season.

  2. Mark Koschik (#33) - Koschik, representing New York, put up a fierce fight and finished a mere 0.042 seconds behind Witt.

  3. Larry Blair II (#73) - A contender from the Mid-South, Blair II displayed remarkable consistency to claim the third position.

  4. Michael Palmer (#31) - Palmer, representing Atlantic, showcased his skill by finishing in fourth place, just 0.314 seconds off the leader.

  5. Jason Cavinee (#26) - Ohio's own Cavinee rounded out the top five, making his presence felt throughout the race.
